  • Another very interesting question that you pose here, Rex. It is a huge subject and the quest for these answers may lead you deeply into the work with this material.

So, in a nutshell, The numbers from 1 to 10 are fixed; in a sense but correspond to 4 levels that relate to Fire, Air, Earth and Water. There is significance to the numbers on the Sephiroth which are the 10 stations you are referring to here. in Jewish mysticism of which this is a part, the 22 letters of the Hebrew Alphabet do indeed correspond to 22 paths. This is called Gematria and is not my expertise but there is a mass of information on this. Look at the" Esoteric Kabala" website site for extensive information. Hebrew Kabalah does not use Tarot however. In Hermetic Kabalah, these paths are depicted by the Major Arcana of the Tarot. There are 22 paths and they outline the paths of Initiation of the Soul moving to wholeness. This would be of course, a whole other course of study we won't have time to get into Tarot on this round but perhaps touch upon it. Great questions...Thank you...there is a vast body of information and knowledge..asking the questions is the key, I think...there are always more.
