For those of you who know Stan and Christina Grof or who have followed Stan's work, including Holotropic Breathwork, I wanted to pass this along:
We are very sad to report that Christina Grof died of pneumonia during the night of June 14/June 15, 2014.
We honor the enormous contribution Christina made to the field of transpersonal psychology, the way in which she used the lessons from her own experiences to help others, and the support and healing she gave to so many people through the practice of Holotropic Breathwork which she co-developed with Stan, her work with spirituality and addiction, and the Spiritual Emergency Network, which she founded. We will miss her warmth and wisdom dearly.
As soon as there is more information we will let you know. In the meantime, we have set up a memorial page on the AHBI website where you can post your memories and photos of Christina as well as your messages of condolence to Stan, and read what others have posted.( Visit the memorial page)
We pause to celebrate Christina’s life, and support her as best we can on this next phase of her ultimate journey.
