James Newell, Ph.D., is the director of the Depth Psychology Alliance. James is an educator, counselor, personal coach, and professional musician. James teaches online courses on world religions for Central Michigan University, Thomas Edison State University, and other schools. James earned his master’s in Pastoral Counseling and Theology from Vanderbilt Divinity School, with a focus on Jungian psychology. Kim Hermanson, PhD serves as adjunct faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute and Meridian University. She is the author of Getting Messy: A Guide to Taking Risks and Opening the ImaginationSky’s the Limit  and the upcoming, A Portal to the Creative: Using Metaphor to Unlock Creative Genius. She has co-authored articles with Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, author of Flow. Kim offers deeply experiential and transformative work and is known for her skill in quickly shifting people out of spiritual and psychological difficulties and into a space of profound beauty and creative flow.
