Dear Friends,
I am pleased to tell you I have published CRACKING OPEN: A Memoir of Struggling, Passages, and Transformations. This book reveals, through my very personal journaling which I share, profound moments in my life when it took a breakdown or a breakthrough to initiate my struggles to heal myself and to build the knowledge of who I really am.
Through working on this book, I came to a deeper understanding of how journaling helps us find our own voice and how it provides the assurance that the creativity, values, and ideals that arise from inside of us are true gifts that we can continue to nurture and develop. When we have found out how to listen to ourselves and our own voice through journaling, then we are able to act with strength and purpose, greet the world with joy, and share our gifts with others.
My intention in publishing this book is to help you, the reader, understand that one of the most important functions of an analyst, or a book like this one, is to encourage us to step outside of our conventional, day-to-day mindsets and look carefully and conscientiously into all of the aspects of our lives.
I will also be holding a book reading, discussion, and signing at Malaprop's Bookstore and Cafe in Asheville, NC, on July 12 at 3:00pm.
Sincerely,
Bud Harris, Ph.D.
