We are delighted to share with you some exciting and important news.
Depth Psychology Alliance is deepening into our mission to make depth psychology more accessible to a wider audience by making the www.DepthPsychologyAlliance.com web site OPEN for ongoing, permanent public viewing.
Starting September 15, 2015, nearly all pages on www.DepthPsychologyAlliance.com will become viewable to everyone online.
BENEFITS
We believe this will significantly increase the opportunity for those of you with accounts on other social media sites to cross-connect with your Facebook, LinkedIn, Twittter, etc. accounts far more easily and to get more exposure for your Depth Psychology Alliance.com posts.
Also, more individuals than ever before will be able to take advantage of the vast amount of depth psychology-oriented content—including blog posts, event postings, video library, discussion threads, online book clubs, recorded webinars, and so much more—currently residing at www.DepthPsychologyAlliance.com.
Opening the site to the public also means access to the virtually all of the general content Depth Psychology Alliance has provided to date will remain free of charge—though it is our plan to create ever more valuable offerings in the future for those wanting more in-depth training, support for personal and professional growth, and opportunities for collaboration. To that end, we will eventually introduce tiers of membership so that those individuals wishing to show their support for the Alliance can offer a small monthly sum to help us generate enough funds to continue into the foreseeable future. We will share more details about those plans in the future as they develop.
IMPORTANT NOTES
· As is standard with many blogs, forums, and online communities, in order to POST events, blogs, discussions, videos, etc. on www.DepthPsychologyAlliance.com, all individuals wanting to POST will STILL NEED TO SIGN IN with your existing username and password, or will need to sign up.
· There will be just a few exceptions to general open public viewing related to “groups” that were initially set up as “private”—either because they are Alliance administrative groups, or because they were associated with discussion forums for paid courses and webinars, or because the person who started the group wanted it to be private.
· If you would like to edit or delete any postings you have made prior to now that you prefer not to have publicly viewable, you may delete them at any time between now and September 15. Click here for instructions on how to edit or delete.
· We would also like to remind you of the Terms of Service for www.DepthPsychologyAlliance.com, and remind you that we expect everyone to be respectful of others in any posts or interaction. We also remind you to focus your posts to depth psychology related topics or to use a depth psychological lens or framework in all posts, comments, and replies in keeping with the mission of Depth Psychology Alliance. Any comments that are derogatory in any way or that do not support conversation about depth psychological topic or perspective will be deleted and the person posting will be barred from making future posts. Depth Psychology Alliance remains committed to our MISSION to offer EXPOSURE to as well as the EXPLORATION and EXCHANGE of… the ideas, principles and practices of the various depth psychologies, among other goals, along with our VISION to serve as a source of warmth, replenishment, and interconnectivity in the ongoing process of tending to soul.
LOOKING AHEAD
We are excited about this new direction and convinced that opening the site will be a positive step toward reaching and connecting more individuals and organizations interested in Jungian and depth psychologies than ever before, and we continue to explore more avenues for all of us to dialogue, discover, and deepen into soul.
To that end, Depth Psychology Alliance has also launched a new Facebook GROUP (in addition to our current Facebook PAGE) that will allow for more integrated interaction and dialogue. If you are on Facebook, come join us there, too, at https://www.facebook.com/groups/DepthPsychologyAlliance/
We look forward to interacting with each of you more in a variety of ways.
In soul,
Bonnie Bright, Founder,
& the Depth Psychology Alliance Board
