As promised in our free introductory class to the 6-week course, here is a list of wonderful resources on the subject of psychological type that follow our lineage of Jung > Briggs > Myers > Beebe. On behalf of Shyrl McCormick and myself, we hope to see you on February 2nd!

  • Yes I remember you mentioning that in the class.

The other issue is being so over trained with some of the other subjects that I have studied that it's become hard to not let those theories/systems condition my thought process haha.

    Anyway, I will email Sheryl

    Thanks for your help!

  • Hi Dorene,
    ,
I am signed up for the 6 week online course
I just watched the free intro class and was wondering if one or both of you could help me clarify my "Type Code?"
I took the MBTI Online test last year and my test results were different from my preferences. My test results came out to be INTJ and my preferences to be INTP.
This is was surprising to me as previous free online tests and what I used from a couple books would come out to be INFJ/P.
I recognize that we will be trying to clear all that up in the course but I would just like a starting point to work from before the course begins.
Hope to hear from you soon,
    Thank you.
    • Hi Christopher, so glad you'll be joining Shyrl and me on the course. What has happened to you is not uncommon--it's almost impossible, as we age, to keep pressures from our environment from demanding that we work outside of our deepest preferences. This may involve letting our environmental demands, today, to affect questions that are designed to go back to the beginning--our natural preference, when we're not under stress. You may have heard in the recording that I, too, tested more recently as preferring thinking, when feeling had been my preference for decades. In my case, it was because I grew up in a family of thinkers, and then pursued a long career in business leadership, which in our society places great value on thinking (i.e., objective, logical, linear ways of doing things). When I really explored the nuances of both preferences, I was confident that Feeling is where I am in my core, not Thinking.

Let's get this sorted out--Shyrl and I have agreed that she will help participants with their MBTIs--please email her at shyrl@fearlessconversations.org, and she'll help you determine the Type Code that is right for you.

      "See" you on February 2nd!
