I would like to be part of this effort. I think the opportunity for a diverse assortment within the confines of a collective offering could be interesting. This might be part of the bartering as we are participating in the DiscoveRing without a charge. So, I propose that a group design/project such as Depth 101 be offered and that we each provide one newly created effort (e-book, teleconference, interview) to that series with all proceeds going to Depth Psychology Alliance. Then, each of us can choose whether we want to do individual offerings through the Depth Psychology Alliance with the usual split of profits.
I want to lead/teach/participate in a group who explores the relationships between depth psychology, the dominate cultural matrix, colonialism, race, appropriation and indigenous peoples.
I want to put together a course based in Virginia Satir's family therapy (which is ancestor and energy work in the way I was taught by one of her prized students), Malidoma Some's ancestor work (who I studied with), my personal Druidic and Peruvian Shamanic training, and depth psychology as expressed by C.G. Jung in his latter years. Basically, building relationship with the ancestors to work towards personal and familial healing. I taught a Family Systems course at Naropa that was similar with more of a Tibetan Buddhist slant and less of a depth slant.
And, I would love one, two, three??? people to join with me to develop a series based in the breaking down the compartmentalization of the way we (Queen's we!) manage and interact with the world. Work is separate from family, psychology is separate from religion/spirituality, psychology is separate from social work, and etc. These compartments are artificial barriers that get in the way of a holistic experience.
I have mentioned before the concept of dependent co-arising. Here I will talk about the same thing but called causes and conditions. I love tea; black, green, white, rice, herbal, or fermented! Whatever way they make tea, I drink it! Now to have a good cup of white tea there are many causes and conditions that must come together for this tea to be made and drank. First the right amount of light, water, and heat must fall on the plant for it to grow and have good leaves. The right people who know tea cultivation will need to take care of the plants, keep them free from animals, pests, and funguses then harvesting exactly in the two week window when only the top two leaves from the plant may be harvested. Their must be transportation to the plant to sort and store the tea. Who mined the materials from the earth in order to have the machinery? Who pumped and distilled the gas? What beings had to be born, die, and be turned into oil under the right collection of circumstances? What are all the processes that must come together for this tea to come to the store where I buy it? What causes and conditions needed to be in place for my familial line, my ancestors to have come together in order than I was born. These are just a few of the causes and conditions that must come together in order that I am born, lived to this age and am able to brew a cup of white tea. In what ways does depth psychology separate the human from causes and conditions? In what ways does depth psychology also try to connect the human to causes and conditions.
I use this paragraph to illustrate the fallacy of boxes. The white tea, which unconsciously I will bruise by overheating the water and destroy the subtle flavors by brewing too long, does not magically appear because Barbara Eden crosses her arms. How might this series look: depth psychology and religion, depth psychology and sexuality, depth psychology and the arts, depth psychology and capitalism, depth psychology and the environment, ...
I have an M.S. in Counselor Education, an M.A. in Depth, an M.Div in Interfaith Ministry with a base in Tibetan Buddhism, and a doctoral candidate in depth psychology with emphases in community, liberation, and eco psychologies. I taught Buddhist psychology, meditation, family systems, theology, group process, conflict and diversity, multicultural competence for therapists, and others at university. I taught energy work, working with stones and crystals, brewing oils and potions, healing, dreamwork (usually Asklepieion dream healing/incubation based), death and grief work, and etc. in many communities.
Basically I am looking for partners in creation and application! I have attached my CV if anyone is bored/interested.

Oh, thank you Willi. I see that you have started outlining the steps for producing something as a group, or solo, via DPA?
Looking forward to our discussion shortly. Julie
Willi, I invite the conversation you are rising here.
In addition to the things listed above, I would like to have a conversation about what this group's intention is: is it just to create and make money through joint projects here at the DPA, and/or is this group to inform and support our individual projects and services, too?
Good question. We could set-up a system to pay folks for external services and a barter agreement for inside group work?
Yes. And, I know that I am interested in providing a workshop and/or class via DPA, utilizing the technology systems in place and split proceeds with the DPA.
And, I think it would be fun (and profitable) to develop a collaborative group event/project. Here are some ideas off the top of my head:
1) Create a radio-type program that "airs" weekly in which we interview one another - and others - on various topics. I have been a guest for some of these and I like the conversational format of an interview (there could also be time left for listeners to ask questions/call in. These could be promoted via DPA and also allow us to be known by listeners, promote products and services, etc;
2) Develop a telesummit on depth psychology principles (or a specific area within depth psychology). We could interviews ourselves and well known speakers, writers, teachers & then present this over a week (or longer). Anyone who signs up for the event could listen "live" for free; DPA could offer, for a fee, a set of downloads of featured speakers. Funds would go to DPA and speakers on an agreed-on split;
Just two of many ideas. I look forward to the conversation on today's group call!
