How to Move Forward

Please post your reflections or ideas on what how you would like to see this group move forward. There are multiple options of course, some of them being:

1. Continue the "depth discussion" format where we see what topic arises each week

2. Have two weeks a month where we do the "depth discussion" and two where we work collaboratively on a concrete project together --such as putting together a webinar series together or creating some sort of online event or movement (i.e. a panel, a writing contest, a tele summit where we find expert speakers, etc.)

3. Each start (or continue) individual projects and we dedicate each week to one person where they share what they're working on and get feedback specifically for them.

4. All of the above?

5. Other?

  • Bonnie, in an earlier post you wrote:

"I think for those who are ready, we might consider offering a webinar series (either live or prerecorded) where each of us who wants to can offer a presentation. This will give anyone who wants to the chance to present more publicly on a topic of your choice, and we will need to schedule one of our meetings to focus on the software and processes involved in producing a webinar."

I'm not sure where that fits is on the list above, but that appeals to me. I'm pretty much thinking along the same lines as Donna and her suggestion to "...introduce a conversation re a concrete project on our call tomorrow and see how that goes. I would like to think we can weave together the depth discussions and processes which have been unfolding with concrete projects..."

  • I am getting a great deal from our format as-is. My soul is nurtured and the conversations and process are inspiring me to take concrete steps during the week.

Soul, like Earth, moves in a slow and organic way. I feel that is what is happening on Tuesdays' calls. I think we have only met 3 or 4 times and each week feels richer. If I were completely honest, my heart and head would like to find a vocatoinal home and tribe within this same core group.

Bonnie, perhaps it is time to introduce a conversation re a concrete project on our call tomorrow and see how that goes. I would like to think we can weave together the depth discussions and processes which have been unfolding with concrete projects, however, if this doesn't seem to be the concensus and/or moving too slowly for some, I'm willing to be part of two separate groups.

  • I like the idea that before we get to No 2, we explore a version of number 3 where each week one of us does a 10/15 minute presentation of their "stuff"; with Q&A's and comments thereafter. It would reveal ourselves and our work focus in the group and perhaps open up a more tangible sense of what could or could not be done collaboratively. Ultimately I don't know the breadth and scope of the work of the others in the group.

    • Thanks, Adele (and Pam and Donna for your corroboration). And maybe we can define or expand the word "stuff" (always a useful term LOL) to include anything a given individual would like to see come out of this group--it may be a personal project, a business offering, a desire to collaborate, etc., so that 10-15 minute presentation would encompass exactly what we want to accomplish, where we are currently in that process (perhaps not even started), and then be open for input, support, feedback...?

    • You see I cannot get a measure of what can come from the group because I don't know what each of us like to talk to and how. So for example your eco-passion - I would love to hear some of it. Willi's new mythology - how does he present/explain it/teach it etc.  We dont really know the particular ingredients which we each represent.

Anyway apologies that I cannot be on the talk tomorrow - but look forward to the recording and what comes out of it.

    • Adele, this is a great idea!

    • I agree with what Adele said. I think a more in depth sense of what each of us does will connect us even more deeply and allow us to see how our work may fit together and what themes continue to emerge as possible webinar topics.

  • I would like to focus our talents and work for outside clients / community. I am not seeking support for my own projects right now. DPA is great as a facilitator for depth discussions. - WOX

    • Yes, I would also like to hear about Bonnie's recent presentation - maybe she can do a 10 15 minute kickoff presentation that could be a template for each of us to do to fulfill Willi's idea of focusing our work for outside clients/community via the method outlined in Adele's reply: "where each week one of us does a 10/15 minute presentation of their "stuff"; with Q&A's and comments thereafter. It would reveal ourselves and our work focus in the group and perhaps open up a more tangible sense of what could or could not be done collaboratively.

A goal of delivering something to the outside world, via a webinar or project is appealing, with the depth support of our group process woven in somehow.  Perhaps Bonnie's idea of doing a presentation and then getting feedback would build up to this as a collaborative event?  Can we create a concret timeline for this?

      Thanks, Julie

    • Thanks, Willi! Can you say more about what this might look like?
