This card was drawn on behalf of the group in response to the question, "What do we need to know about this group as we move forward?"

The card comes from the Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue

Ixchel: Medicine Woman

Ixchel

Card Meaning:  You are a channel for Divine healing power.

Message from Ixchel:  Commanding power is not the same as demanding it.  Demanding comes from a childlike place akin to a tantrum, based upon the fear that it might be withheld.  Commanding is based upon the sure and steady knowledge that you are part of the Great Spirit’s grace and wisdom.  You’re a lightning rod that can conduct the power.  Simply connect to the power through unyielding clarity of your thought processes.  Don’t waver for a moment in your sure and steady decision to be a conduit of the power that already resides within you.  Connect to the even bigger source, and allow it to amplify your natural power.  In this way, you’re a steady connector of the Infinite, from the Infinite, and to the Infinite.  In other words, it’s all Spirit: around you, through you, and to whomever you’re healing.

Various Meanings of This Card:  You’re a healer •  You’re being healed •  This situation and/or your loved one is being healed •  Honor your healing knowledge and abilities •  Learn about healing • Teach the healing arts • Start or continue your healing practice.

About Ixchel (pronounced EE-Shell or ISH-Chell):  Ixchel has been revered since ancient times as the Mayan moon goddess, who with her husband the sun god, gave birth to all the other Mayan gods.  As the embodiment of the moon, Ixchel is intimately connected to the tides of the water.  She’s believed to control rain flow and all aspects of water.  In fact, she’s called “Lady Rainbox”, as her essence is infused in the water-droplet prisms that create rainbows.  As a mother goddess, Ixchel helps with fertility and childbirth.  She’s also a powerful healer who remembers the origin of human life upon the planet.  She can connect you to your foundational roots as a spiritual healer.

  • Thank you, Bonnie, for bringing in Ixchel, and James for the perfect closing chant.  I would vote to end with a chant you would like to bring forward, to seal our meeting and open out to further guidance.  It was so good to hear you, live. Is there a recording of your chants, or this one in particular, that you may point us to?

This just came in to my email, from Daniel Foor, a shaman global teacher, who I met at Bonnie's house, years ago.  http://ancestralmedicine.org/five-ways-to-honor-your-ancestors/

It seems relevant to many tangents of our conversations- Tie in to James' chant and the Ixchel's exhortation: "Commanding is based upon the sure and steady knowledge that you are part of the Great Spirit’s grace and wisdom.  You’re a lightning rod that can conduct the power.  Simply connect to the power through unyielding clarity of your thought processes." (I want more help with this one.)  Also, this ancestral dedication is something about including Jesse's being here.

I hope that Lady Rainbox will open her treasure here in California, soon, and balance out the east coast storms.  Love to all, Julie

Dedicate Positive Actions in the Name of the Ancestors - by Daniel Foor

Mongolian shaman Sarangerel, a friend and teacher who passed suddenly in 2006, half-jokingly described shamanism as the science of engineering hiimori or “windhorse,” and wrote that:

This force is housed within the chest and will vary in size according to how one uses and accumulates it. Very strong windhorse allows one to think clearly and analytically and see through deception. Windhorse is the power which allows shamans and other powerful people accomplish what needs to be done simply and easily….Use of one’s personal power toward harmful ends or to upset the balance of the universe depletes windhorse…Windhorse can be increased by actions to restore balance in the universe and through religious practice.[1]

In this way, engaging in loving and truly helpful actions results in the accumulation of tangible and usable energy in the energetic field or body of the one taking the action.

  • Thank you Bonnie for doing this! Taking the time to pull the card and then right this up for us.

It made me think of what we were talking about last night with regard to the group ritual. An idea might be to take a moment after opening to get quiet, connect to the greater Source, and ask what wants to happen here, and affirm our commitment to Psyche.

"And a great portent appeared in Heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; she with child and she cried out in her pangs of birth, in anquish for delivery. (Revelation 12:1)

John was taken to Babylon, "the great mother of harlots and of earth's abominations," (Rev. 17:5), a city, will fall. When Babylon falls, the angels rejoice because now "the marriage of the lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready" (Rev 19:7). The angel said, "Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb..." (Rev 19:9).

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down our of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them;  he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall their be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."

And he who sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Also he said, "write this, for these words are trustworthy and true." And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of water of life without payment. (Rev -?)

Sorry, I didn't have the last citation from Revelation. But this is the Revelation, what is revealed by the Bible. This is the writing for the mosaic Bonnie mentioned last night. Isn't it beautiful? It gives me chills:)
