I've started using the term "ecopsychopathy" to describe the default unconscious relationship between contemporary (consumer) culture and earth. Recently came across a good blogpost from Michael (MG) Harris, a writer, speaker and consultant in Connecticut, focusing on the emerging fields of sustainability and ecopsychology.
Harris recounts how Derrick Jensen uses the term "eco-pathic" in his book Endgame (Vol 2) and I found it much in line with what I've been thinking about as well. Here's access to the post (in my growing aggregate collection of articles related to what I'm calling Culture Collapse Disorder: The Destruction of Home)
