I found this article (from Salon.com, June 16) to be hugely compelling and somewhat terrifying:

It provides insight into why we are seeing bigger and more destructive wildfires and where this is all headed due to climate change.
It echoes Bill McKibbin's new book, "Eaarth" which also outlines other disasters and the increasing risk we are seeing from them. All difficult topics and I welcome any comments and discussion so we have a space here to hold them--for ourselves and the rest of the planet.
