At the spring Creativity & Madness conference in Santa Fe I gave a presentation adding commentary to my book Cities of the Soul from a depth psychological perspective. In the book a traveler, representing each of our journeys through life, comes across a vast city in the desert (of our unconscious). Each city has another city deeper inside which correspond to different aspect of inner growth and maturation. The stages of growth are drawn from various of humanities wisdom traditions. Aspects of the Enneagram, the gradations of the soul from Sufi psychology, the virtues, and essential qualities are symbolically incorporated in the story. In the second part of the book contemplative practices are offered to support the reader on their own journey. Mandalic illustrations provide visual meditations to  the inner journey of the reader.
