According to the Jan. 26 article from Asia Sentinal, Shamanism is still very much alive in modern South Korea. I don't personally have any experience with Korean Shamanism, but I thought the article found here was quite interesting.
It's compelling --and comforting-- that shamanism manages to survive in spite of the vast and fast global and cultural changes happening around. Or is it? What do you think? --Is shamanism having to change in order to keep up with modernity?
