Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
I'm interested in the idea of becoming more aware of who I am at a deeper level, below the masks I wear and roles that I take on that contribute to my feeling unsastified with things. It seems too difficult to relate to myself, my life, and others in a way that feels right just by seeing or feeling that something appears off though. I feel like whatever reasons there must be for this in my mind, I find it difficult if not impossible to identify them. So the idea of motives of mine and others which are shielded from our view (being unconscious or barely conscious) seems interesting to me. I rarely ever feel like I'm being the "real me", whatever that might mean.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?
I may have joined some in the past, although I can't remember at the present time. I know that I have visited several sites associated with ideas of Dr. Eric Berne and other professionals within the Transactional Analysis movement at least, although I honestly can't remember if I actually ended up joining anything. If I did, I never ended up contributing to any of them myself, although I know that I did read about TA on some on the sites I visited.

Hi Christopher. My apologies for the rather belated welcome--but it's good to have you here in the online Depth community. I'm glad you've found the Alliance and hope you'll jump in and engage right away by joining a discussion, commenting on others' posts, sharing links or articles that are meaningful to you, or posting some of your own work if you haven't already.
I'm sure you'll make some wonderful connections here in the community and find lots to read and ponder. I'll send you some tips on navigating the site in a separate email. I look forward to your contributions. Enjoy the site! ~Bonnie Bright, Founder
