Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?

My passion over the past 30 years has been to understand how adults learn in everyday life. Despite graduating with a PhD from the University of Chicago and having a famous advisor to work with (Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi), it wasn't until I started reading about metaphor in George Lakoff's Metaphors We Live By, that I began to get a better understanding of how adults learn in life. That led me to depth psychology, which has allowed me to bring together my passions for both adult learning and art/creative process. (Needless to say, teaching, learning, and life itself are all creative processes. Creative process is the foundation of everything in life.) I teach at Pacifica Graduate Institute, the Sophia Center at Holy Names University, and have led workshops at Esalen Institute.
