Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
I am a Depth Psychologist holding an Masters Degree in Depth Psychology and Archetypal Studies from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My professional background is in classical music (piano) and behavior analysis. I have worked with children with autism as well as those diagnosed with other developmental disabilities in past and now I have extended my studies of autism into depth psychology, that is, the psychology of the unconscious. I am a PhD candidate, and my dissertation focuses on the collective experience of the body as experienced by severe-moderate autism studied from a Jungian perspective - the myth of Dionysus as well as Alchemy. I appreciate this community and the presence of thinkers from my field. I hope to build deep friendships around ideas and visions shared by the community of Jungian Studies. I also hope to extend my impressions, insights and friendships cultivated in this community to my homeland, Armenia, where I have moved to and live now.
