James Newell, Ph.D. is an educator, coach/counselor, performing songwriter, and board member of the Depth Psychology Alliance. James received his doctorate from Vanderbilt University. He teaches mainstream religious studies courses online for Central Michigan University and several other schools. James also holds a master’s degree in counseling and theology from Vanderbilt Divinity School. James’ counseling orientation is Jungian, and his goal is to educate and empower others to do their own depth work, individually and collectively. James continues to pursue his own artistic passion through music, having begun his musical career working with such legendary musicians as John Lee Hooker, James Cotton, Jr. Wells, Big Joe Turner, and others. Bonnie Bright, Ph.D., earned her doctorate in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. She is the founder of Depth Psychology Alliance, the world's most inclusive online community for depth psychology. She created Depth Insights to depth psychology content including interviews, webinars, and events, and is the Executive Editor of the semi-annual scholarly e-zine of the same name. Jennifer Selig, Ph.D., Founding chair of Pacifica's Jungian and Archetypal Studies Specialization and the M.A. Engaged Humanities and the Creative Life Program. Dr. Selig currently teaches in both programs, is a published author of many books including Integration: The Psychology and Mythology of Martin Luther King, Jr. and His (Unfinished) Therapy with the Soul of America; a photographer; and writer of non-fiction and screenplays.
Craig Chalquist, Ph.D. is department chair of East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and adjunct faculty at Pacifica Graduate Institute, where he teaches ecopsychology, and at John F. Kennedy University, where he launched the world's first Certificate in Ecotherapy.
He is the author of several books, including those of the Animate California Series and Terrapsychology: Reengaging the Soul of Place, editor of Rebearths: Conversations with a World Ensouled, and co-editor of Ecotherapy: Healing with Nature in Mind.
His areas of professional interest include depth psychology, ecopsychology, mythology, history, ecoresilient communities, theoretical and qualitative research, phenomenology, and complexity science. He manages the Deep Educator Network at LinkedIn, and his website is Chalquist.com.
Donna May, MS received her masters degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis on depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 1996. She did her thesis work on the healing properties of writing and story in treatment of trauma and abuse and has held numerous workshops on writing as a portal to health and transformation since 1994. She has also had extensive training in Dream Tending and has incorporated the fundamentals of this method into her therapy work with clients, as well as in her consultation and workshop facilitations.
Donna lives and works in gorgeous Siskiyou County, California. She offers counseling services in her Etna Office and dream consultations, groups, and classes via teleconferencing (including her Portal of Dreams Course, Psyche Salon, and Story Tending Circles). She also supervises interns at Siskiyou County Behavioral Health, with emphasis on depth psychology methods & tools. She has been in private practice full time since 2007; prior to that time she worked in both non-profit agencies and governmental settings, treating both mental health and substance abuse issues, since 1994.
Barry Spector - Barry writes about American history and politics from the perspectives of myth, indigenous traditions and archetypal psychology. He has published three articles in Jung Journal: Culture and Psyche. They can be found at www.barryandmayaspector.com. Barry and his wife Maya have performed in The Great Night of Rumi, Rumi’s Caravan and The Great Night of Soul Poetry, regular celebrations of recited poetry and music, for many years. Although not a poet himself, he feels that the revival of spoken poetry and storytelling is a key to cultural renewal. He and Maya also present Oral Traditions Poetry Salons at their home (the only rule is no reading!) and conduct an annual Day of the Dead grief ritual in early November.
Brent Potter, PhD. is a licensed psychotherapist, child mental health specialist, and ethnic minority mental health specialist (WA). Potter earned his master’s degree in existential-phenomenological psychology from Duquesne University. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in depth psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute. He has more than 20 years of experience providing clinical services in a range of settings including inpatient, hospital, outpatient, and private practice.
Brent has published numerous articles, Elements of Self-Destruction (Karnac, 2013), Borderline Personality Disorder: New Perspectives on a Stigmatizing and Overused Diagnosis (co-authored with Jacqueline Gunn) (Praeger, 2014), and Elements of Reparation: Truth, Faith & Transformation in the Work of Heidegger, Bion, & Beyond (Karnac, 2015). He has three forthcoming books.

Mark Sipowitz – loves adventure, good conversation, books and wild places. He holds an MA in depth psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute and is a Jungian Wilderness Guide. All of his work with psyche and nature fall under the title of Soul and Stream. This includes his seasonally offered men’s wilderness retreats, the Heart Arrow Quest; his ongoing dialogue with community in the Meetup, A Bolder Conversation With Nature; and his private practice offering experiential teachings in the Art of Quest.
He plays ice hockey and climbs mountains with sons and other fathers. He commercial fished in Alaska, survived an avalanche, opened and ran a bookstore, and studied literature in Missoula. He has trained extensively with Animas Valley Institute, the School of Lost Borders and Rites of Passage (Santa Rosa). His first vision quest in Death Valley almost a decade ago, changed everything for him. He is a father and husband living in Boulder.

Dorene was awarded a Master’s degree in Depth Psychology from Sonoma State University and a Bachelor’s in business and criminology from Fresno State. She is a Certified Practitioner of Myers Briggs psychological type instruments, is a Senior Certified Professional (SCP) through Society for Human Resource Management, and a Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute.
Jeffrey Kiehl, Ph.D. is a Jungian analyst and senior climate scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. He has Masters degrees in psychology and theoretical physics. Jeffrey has worked on the issue of climate change for over thirty years. He has authored over 120 publications in scientific journals. He is also a founding member of the CG Jung Institute of Colorado, where he served on the institute’s board of directors. Jeffrey is also a member of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts and the International Association for Analytical Psychology. He had a private practice in Boulder, Colorado until his recent move to Santa Cruz, California.
Jeffrey teaches at the CG Jung Institute of Colorado and has lectured nationally and internationally on the intersection of Jungian psychology and climate change. He is the author of the forthcoming book Facing Climate Change: An Integrated Path to the Future, published by Columbia University Press, which provides a Jungian perspective on the issue of climate change.

Eva Rider MA, MFT is a Jungian-oriented depth psychotherapist and workshop leader based in Santa Cruz, California. She holds a BA in history from McGill University and a Master’s in clinical psychology from John F. Kennedy University, where she has taught as adjunct instructor. Eva is certified as a Hypnotherapist, Movement-Expression® Teacher and SoulCollage® Facilitator, and is a graduate of Marion Woodman Leadership Training (2007).
As a workshop and group facilitator, Eva incorporates Dream Work with fairy tale, myth, creative process, music, art and movement into the BodySoul Rhythms®, as well as her continued exploration of correspondences between Jungian theory, alchemy and Psyche/Soma as revealed through the glyph of the Hermetic Tree of Life.
