In this premier event, world renowned dream experts Robert Wagonner and Robert Bosnak join Machiel Klerk in a three-way dialogue to discuss Klerk's new CD, Rumi and the World of Dream.
In “Rumi and the World of Dream” Klerk describes the three basic characteristics of dreaming that help us relate to dreams in an experiential and relational way. Experiential and relational dreaming is also the basic tenet of Robert Bosnak's technique Embodied Imagination. Klerk's CD also weaves together Dream Yoga, Lucid Dreaming and Buddhist principles, showing how dreaming is used as an awareness practice.
The great interpreter of poet Rumi, Coleman Barks has provided an introduction and bonus feature to the CD.

I received the link from Jung Platform and listened to this important discussion on lucidity and its usefulness in dreaming, taking it beyond mere interpretation. Thanks to both Roberts and Machiel.
I missed the webinar and the link to the replay didn't work or hasn't been set up yet. I received the Machiel Klerk's CD and listened to it and was pleasantly surprised about its content.
Mr. Klerk quoted Tensin Wangyal Rinpoche from the book I had read (my previous post) and I approve of all he said. I also used the yogas of dream and sleep as Master Wangyall suggested, becoming more aware in the dreamworld, and though there are subtle differences between the dzogchen buddhist way of treating samsara, maya (illusion) and the way images are treated in depth psychology, throughout all of it is us- awake, aware and experiencing our reality. One way leads to suffering, another to enlightenment, no matter the system used to reach it.
As Machiel Klerk says, we are guilty of literalizing our reality and must realize the true reality. Then we are aware. The "inner refuge" of the buddhist reality, found through stillness, spaciousness and silence is analogous to the idea of balance from understanding that everything happens within the psyche, in Jung.
I believe that Machiel Klerk explains this very well and many people will benefit from this instruction; that there are benefits to be had by adding the lucid dreaming component to our understanding and hermeneutic deciphering of dreams. To unlock our awareness from the concrete, literalistic viewpoint is not only beneficial but a vital practice as we move forward. The Rumi poetry was the perfect vehicle to express these points.
I hope the link will work so I can hear the interaction with Robert Waggoner and Robert Bosnak, as well.
Thank you gentle-men for sharing your precious time and service in the field of dreams: dialogue, lucid and embodied surrounding your experiences, mentors and current perspectives. Peace + Love Linda
Thank you, Holly. I went ahead and got the CD.
"Klerk's CD also weaves together Dream Yoga, Lucid Dreaming and Buddhist principles, showing how dreaming is used as an awareness practice."
Dream yoga, which is basically just that- lucid awareness practice- had helped me to become a much better lucid dreamer. I read a book book by Tensin Wangyal Rinpoche called The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep that I would recommend to people as well.
A fan of Robert Waggoner and his book, Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self, I'm looking forward to attending this webinar. Robert Bosnak is the alchemy guy, right?
I'm on vacation that week in September, but I hope to catch the webinar live if I'm not backpacking that day. Thanks to Jung Platform for putting this event together.
