Co-sponsored with The Journal of Holistic Psychology*

Holistic psychology explores not only the physical and mental dimensions of life, but also the spiritual, ecological, relational, somatic, mythological, and transpersonal aspects of the psyche. The separation of these dimensions of the whole person can be seen as contributing to the personal, cultural, and planetary crises and pathologies of our time. This program follows the way of wholeness, and offers a path out of division and alienation into healing and regeneration.

“Holistic” shares word origins with “heal,” “holy,” and “whole.” A holistic psychology is therefore one that respects the complexity, integrity, and multi-dimensionality of the human being.  This unique 100-hour certificate program consists of 7 weekends, 1 one-day workshop and 4 webinars with some of the leading practitioners in the emerging field of holistic psychology. The long-standing friendship between the Open Center and the California Institute of Integral Studies has played a significant role in its development.

The program begins with an overview, and initially covers Jungian, Existential, Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychologies. We then address Holistic Sexuality and the Psychology of the Body, and go on to focus on EcoPsychology, Archetypal Psychology and the Psychology of Mythology.

The program begins in late May and concludes in January, with a summer break, and is open to all participants seriously engaged with the subject. It will be of special interest to psychologists, therapists, social workers, coaches and consultants who wish to expand their knowledge of this field.  Individual weekends and webinars may be taken separately.

  • Hi Aleks (and everyone). The link for the audio recording and slide deck was emailed out to all registrants on March 16. Aleks, I've just re-sent it to you so you have it again.

  • Have other people received the link to the recording? I haven't.

  • Hi everyone, please note this is offered through the Open Center of New York. When I clicked on Register, I did get a page that says access to a recording will be made available to registrants...

  • I won't be able to attend but would very much like to have the audio when it is available.  Thanks Bonnie

  • If an audio is made available after, I would be very grateful.
