The unmetabolized wounds of our ancestors become part of our psyche’s inheritance. Unless we find a way to transform our traumas, we too end up passing on painful family legacies. Time doesn’t heal trauma. Wounds from historical collective events take on archetypal, larger-than-life, proportions within us and need transformation. Otherwise, they may haunt future generations.
This workshop uses acting, improvisation, psychodrama, personal storytelling, and Jungian oriented drama and expressive arts therapy. Transforming the ancestral trauma that is now our own, allows us to take responsibility for our lives, discover what does and doesn’t belong to us, and rewrite our life-script.
