Join us for a journey titled ‘Modern Mind~Ancient Soul’ to experience fresh ways of imagining God through conversations, worship, music, art and reflection. The event is being hosted by AwakeningSoul  (a partnership of Ann Holtz and Fran McKendree) on November 7-10 at the Lutheridge Conference Center in Arden, NC  nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.   The heart of the event will be spirited conversations sparked by Christian Spirituality professor at Duke Divinity School Lauren Winner and Jungian analyst, pilgrimage leader and Presbyterian minister Jerry Wright. They both speak with integrity, wisdom, vulnerability, humor and honesty about our lives as a spiritual journey. Brian Prior, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota, will be our chaplain weaving the experience together throughout the weekend with storytelling and worship. Certified Spiritual Director Diana McKendree will guide us into deep, meaningful conversation. Music performed by Fran McKendree and an amazing spirited ensemble including Lindsey Blount, River Guerguerian, Charles Milling that will create music that will punctuate the learning and inspire our souls as we seek new ways to inhabit our faith.
