The creative life asks us to move beyond the confines of the known and familiar. Spirit not only transcends space and time, but asks us to journey with it to its domain. It was Rabbi Heschel who spoke of the sacred existing with a sense of time- its own time.
It was Jung and the early Jungians including M.L. von Franz, Esther Harding, Barbara Hannah, and Aniela Jaffe who understood the sacredness of dreams and their eternal messages and how a relationship to these allowed us to lift the veil.
It was the reality of this internal psyche, and the antique soul which spoke through the dream. In contemporary times, we find this same regard for dreams in the work of James Hillman and Marion Woodman. The complex, while deeply meaningful to the dreamer may not be related to the intrinsic message of the dream itself and its images.
Join Dr. Michael Conforti in this weekend Dream seminar which will focus on the archetypal nature of symbols and dreams. So too we will be looking at the relationship and differences between the dream image and the emotions and complexes activated in the dreamer. We will see how a receptivity to the dream message allows for an opening not only to Psyche and Self but to the creative life.
Michael Conforti, Ph.D. is a Jungian Analyst, and is the founder and director of the Assisi Institute. Dr. Conforti's work has resulted not only in a training institute based on his discoveries, but also the development of a new discipline, Archetypal Pattern Analysis. He has been a faculty member at the C.G. Jung Institute - Boston, the C.G Jung Foundation of New York, and has served as a Senior Associate faculty member in the Graduate programs in Clinical Psychology at Antioch New England.
A pioneer in the field of matter-psyche studies, Dr. Conforti is actively investigating the workings of archetypal fields and the relationship between Jungian psychology and the New Sciences
