Exploring Hypnotic Trance, the Subliminal Mind and Evolutionary Love with Michael Murphy and Adam Crabtree:
Trance states form a part of our everyday experience. We will explore the theme of human evolutionary advance proposed by the American philosopher, Charles Sanders Peirce (a close friend of William James) that centers on the notion of "evolutionary love" - the ardent human impulse to ensure the greatest realization of the potentials of the love object. Adam will describe how this vision further deepens our knowledge that trance states are the activators of human evolutionary forces. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the process of entering a trance state and experience "automatisms," communications arising from the subconscious mind without the participation of the conscious self.
