When Dreams Bring Meaning
Meredith Sabini
Friday July 20, 7–9pm and August TBA, $20
Each life seems to include a measure of grief, illness, or unexpected loss. Our challenge is coming to terms with this suffering, so we do not become its victim, or settle for paltry explanations. Dreams can be a source of insight into the deeper meanings of major and minor suffering. This sacred dimension of dreaming has been recognized and called upon in numerous cultures throughout history, and is available to us today as well. This program will offer moving vignettes of dreams that have shed new light on individual and collective suffering, so that it can be carried with grace and equanimity. The first meeting provides an overview of the topic; subsequent meetings offer the space for participants to share and explore meaningful dream experiences and, if there is interest, to do dream-based meditation.
