On my drive home last night I looked up into the sky and was greeted by the most gorgeous crescent moon I've ever seen. It was the color of golden, yellowish, baked custard. There was an outline of dark, brownish amber, like the color on the rim of those glass baking cups they used to bake custard in before the days of the microwave.  It seemed giant for a crescent moon so early in the monthly lunation cycle. It was so rich looking, almost as if  there had been an excavation or unearthing of something sweet and  precious.  I wondered what awaited us during the next few weeks. The lunar image was so Leo/Aquarius,  so golden yet so remote . I've been thinking about that sleeping man in the moon all day.  Will he shower us with rich metals of rusted gold and bring us a sweet, surprise? Or, merely barrage us with the unexpected that must be dealt with for its own sake . As Neptune enters Pisces, I'm hoping for something poetic!  In the meantime, "Goodnight Moon!"

  • Judith: Thank you for this beautiful image. I didn't see the moon, but your description gives me goosebumps. My moon is Leo: I'm voting fot he poetic as well!
