Why I'm not a Member of the American Psychological Association

• Craig Chalquist's s exploration of the above topic struck a paralysis within me, the likes of which I'd not experienced since childhood. Why? It brought back to life and right into this very moment all those dark, creepy, uncomfortable feelings and thoughts about the politics, platforms and prejudices of inhumane organizations such as those Craig so accurately named.  Groups such as these, or others like them,  have been present since my childhood.  Even as a child I recall experiencing this same discomfort, but  I've never really found a way, "my" way, to articulate so clearly my reaction toward and about them.   And worse yet, nor have I ever tried to find a way to change or to have an impact upon what I've disliked......, not really.
• Thank you Craig for standing up so publicly for what you believe and know to be true.
• And.... shame, shame on me.
