Hi everyone. I'm thrilled to see all the discussion that is taking place in the various groups! Its truly a testament of community to see how we are so engaged with each other around topics that fascinate us.
Meanwhile, I wanted to share an important tip on posting in a group that may be of help, because it's really not intuitive. For those of you who have figured it out already--Bravo!
When you want to start a new discussion in a group that others can respond to, on the home page of the group you are commenting in, you must look for the blue header called "Discussion Forum".
Then, scroll to the bottom of that section and pick "Add Discussion".
If you post your comments in the "Comments" box--which seems like the natural thing to do--your comments will indeed show up on the page, but no one can respond to them nor will there be a "thread" of conversation that can be followed. This is fine if it's what you want--it's just more of a one-way broadcast function.
I know this is not what most of us would assume, so I wanted to be sure to state it clearly here. If anyone has questions on this or any aspect of navigating the site, please let me know and I'll be happy to walk you through it.
