I think that people do long for meaningful connection. Without respect and care, this will unlikely happen.
Taking up Depth Psychology intellectually may serve a person or a group well in terms of introspection and understanding. However, to what end does all this beating around the bush lead to? Is it not more noble to think critically and engage in the world as a whole as oppose to retreating into the abyss of endless searching. I choose, love, respect, critical thinking, empathy, and bringing all that I know and understand to the world I which I live. Put simply, I wonder to what degree all of this analysis through various lens is simply a form of 'spiritual bypassing?'

I read the press release on July 10, 2015 by Susan Duclos; a reporter for the “All New Pipeline” and I did not view her reporting [opinions] regarding the 2 flags symbolic of LGBT [rainbow – diversity] and Nuclear Family [mother, father, 3 children] as a train-wreck. Within her reporter role and function, she provided us with the human, grass-roots movements as to the experiences and human rights actively demonstrated for today both within the US [Gay Pride Day] and Russia [Family Day] celebrations.
This is good…open forum presentation of views as witnessed and reported by the press. Traditional [historic] verses Modern [20th c] verses Contemporary [21 c] and the never-ending stories surrounding human “moral” + values clashes always in constant motion and flux…pull to the past and tug towards the future…
Whether one takes any particular “position” concerning the status quo [value] of the human being, the family unit exists within the cultural context and the moral majority at large tends to rule… always goes back to our own roots and depend upon what one directly experienced during their formative years of human growth and development. We are all shaped by the constancy [lack thereof] within the constant flux inherent in the socio-eco-political cultures we create where the leadership and struggles of our ancestors come to mind and our own are deeply embedded, affecting sour own personal “world” view, most important our psychological and moral growth + development of ourselves, the young and our species as a whole.
What is being challenged repeatedly, especially visible and relevant to me right now, are the grass-roots movements to get us all off dead center – the battles that are never won…the mythic states of “polarity postures” or comparison of each other using polar oppositional ground.
Simply put – there is too much variation and diversity [grey areas] in all the animal species who constantly are accommodating and adapting [or NOT] to change – an evolutionary fact, so our tolerance for each other in light of our ability [or disability, dis-ease] towards constant change and flux will determine who the victors in the end are. The formation of family “people” life goes beyond particular blood-lines [units, cycles, circles] and whether or not we flourish or are destroyed depends upon our stubborn resistance to take heed and learn from the lessons of our ancestors while remaining open-minded for the lessons to be learned across our personal lifespan which hopefully will benefit future generations. Marginalized existence is rooted in states of fixity and in this place there is no room for movement or change!
We [individually + collectively] make or break the “messes” that come to the surface and let us hope that during our time on earth we treated these manifestations with regard, like a precious commodity. What we do [or fail to do] on a day-by-day basis - to try, be helpful, hopeful to turn, make this world a better place for all to exist upon - is the task at hand. Simply using Holly and myself as 2 feminine examples – I do not know the particular chronological stage she is into, but I am an elder now. She raises [nurtures] lizards and I raised [nurtured] other people’s children. I have taken heed [done transgenerational (ancestor) healing work], learned the lessons my elders shared with me, plus added the lessons I have gleamed from across my own lifespan and now, here I am within DPA…reaching out into our virtual community for there are more of my historic, blood-line ancestors dead than alive and this is the way of the world [thanks be to digital technology [or not], however, I am thankful for I have always been an eternal optimist who surrendered to God Almighty a long time ago and lovingkindness [which is not a very popular point of view], always begets me a borage of negative press concerning the sharing of my tongue…my words attract [in this regard opposites do attract], however, my preference would be for the laws of movement and similarity to take on more form…and I am always pleasantly surprised and excited when those moments of heart-felt engagement arrive…
Victor Frankyl and to paraphrase his powerful message: “the only thing you have absolute control over, at any given moment in time is your “ATTITUDE”…so, I do believe constant appraisal of our moment-to-moment attitudes is always a good step forward on the road, path and into the direction for humanity and the earths sake – for we remain – each others and the lands keeper – And before we judge another…ask yourself how well you are keeping and leaving things in good hands?
