Epigenetic 'Memory' Key to Nature Versus Nurture

ScienceDaily (July 25, 2011) — Researchers at the John Innes Centre have made a discovery, reported this evening (24 July) in Nature, that explains how an organism can create a biological memory of some variable condition, such as quality of nutrition or temperature. The discovery explains the mechanism of this memory -- a sort of biological switch -- and how it can also be inherited by offspring.

  • I'm in the process of preparing a lecture on Albert Einstein's religion for a conference next May in Virginia Beach.  The more I research, the more I am finding evidence of his tapping into the "collective conscious."  I prefer to remove the "un" from unconscious as part of growing spiritually is to bring the unconscious into conscious awareness.

My favorite Einstein quote is: "A human being is a part of a whole, called by us  "universe, "a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

I wonder if Einstein ever read Rumi?

There are many levels of this collective consciousness, just as there are many levels of electron orbitals around the nucleus of an atom.  And just as the higher orbitals have more energy, higher levels of consciousness have more energy.  The expanded consciousness flow at the higher levels has an increased processing speed and an increased data storage capacity, just like the processor speed and ram capacity increase the processing speed and quantity of data processed in a computer.

Paramansa Yogananda's yogi Shri Yuktavar (sorry for spelling) spoke of the "Divine Library" where all knowledge exists. When I first tapped into this, it was as though a thousand volumes of encyclopedias were dumped into my head instantly.  Needless to say, I lose the connection and the access to the knowledge when I return to this level.  If I ask a question and go there, the answer is simple.  When I come back here, it is no longer simple and I am forced to figure it out, even though I already know it at a higher level.  This is part of the meditation process.

This is where Einstein received his knowledge.  After working on the theory of relativity for ten years, the equation just came to him while he was merely explaining his frustration in figuring it out to an old friend while he was walking with him in the woods.  It just came to him!   That's the way we tap into it.

    • Your research is very relevant to a new book I'm working on, having to do psyche and science. Would love to hear/read more of what you've discovered about Einstein's spiritual beliefs.

      • What specific area of consciousness and science are you writing about?

  • This "superstorm" is a counter clockwise spinning storm.  Without going into details, allow me to say that the storm decreases the operational frequency of the feminine aspect of consciousness, bringing unresolved issues to the surface.  It's also the reason why the Sufi Whirling Dervishes spin as part of their religious ceremonies.

The human soul and consciousness is directly impacted by all weather patterns.

  •  Hi Lee - the breadth and depth of the superstorm hitting the eastern coast is unbelievable (montrous), and on the eve of an important presidential election.  From one small voice in a patch of wildnerness in a small hamlet in Canada - I send all my loving thoughts and prayers to my US neighbours and new found friends in DPA who have roots in the storm stuck areas.  Regards Linda

  • Good evening Lee - I like your metaphor for aura.  Nothing quite like the transforming potential of unconditional love, loving ourselves the first, sometimes hardest lesson and inner journey for all - most rewarding for the soul.  I remain grateful for it has been a most delightful sharing of depth space with you.  Regards Linda

  • Hello again - this state of flow has not ended yet for I did not mention the highest frequency of subtle bodies - the spirit aspect within or next to? the causal body - the seat of the soul, the gateway to the mansion with many rooms, the void, the walking between worlds, the manifestation of  entities - ghosts, angels - saints/demons???.....now I can go to sleep...amen and good night!  Regards Linda

  • Hi Lee - I concur that we need to become whole (have a foundation and willingness to transcend, be transformed), that we can enter into the initiation (I/Thou) and invitational into the grace of the space/plane of the collective unconscious - the gate into our Father's mansions with many rooms.  I also believe that 'seek wisdom for she is good' is an essential key and has nothing to do with knowledge.  At this gate and with tolerance and acceptance of anima/animus, we are greeted and have available to us the ancestors of the collective unconscious.

this is the first time I have put this all together.  What do you think?  Regards Linda

    • I think you are on the right track.  anima + animus + Love = soul growth

  • Good morning Lee - I am very appreciative of the time you have spent communicating with me and I agree with a very fascinating and humbling endeavor - our souls.  From what you are sharing looks like I have been fed some political (incorrect) information and I am really pleased to hear from you that our soul (light essence body) is known before we are created, has memories, that there are varying degrees of frequencies (lower/higher), that there are many rooms in the mansion and the significance of soul (light essence body) - connect/disconnect with the heavy vessel (physical body).

I suffer much angst, on a soul level, when I ponder violent acts upon so many new souls prior impregnation to birth - rape, miscarriage, abortion, frozen embroys, human/animal hybrids to harvest stem cells (what happens to this entiity man-made manipulated formation)?  I have read the work of Dr. Kenneth McCall and his healing of the family tree from the perspective of restless departed souls afterlife effects.

The hypothesis is that the human energy field has 5 body forms (physical, etheric, astral, mental and casual and a central channel.

I concur that the heaviest level, physical body can manifest soul.  However, I believe this is the etheric body essence that surrounds the physical body (aura) that can be seen by those with that gift (psychic ability).  The eyes have been called the 'windows of the soul' for many representative, manifesting soul states (angst, peace, depression, rage) can also be seen gazing at one's eyes.  I concur that soul is not a manifestation of the physical body which is simply the heavy vessel - container).

I also concure with you on the existence of the soul prior to creation that is released upon FINAL breath, however, this is where near-death experiences and advanced life support with mind/body dissociative/altered experiences complicates matter of the soul.

However and at this point based upon my personal and professional experiences, I am of the position that I do not believe in reincarnation (my soul/silver thread cast into many humanoid existences).

    To be continued....
