Just got this notice from the Northwest Arkansas Friends of Jung:

"A 3-part series produced by PBS on the life and works of Carl Jung entitled “Inheritance of Dreams” is available to watch free on YouTube.  The videos on YouTube are broken up into 5 parts
Included are interviews with Jungian analysts Aniela Jaffe, Jane Wheelwright, James Hillman, Adolf Guggenbuhl-Craig, Harry Wilmer, and others"

If anyone has time to watch them and even add them here to the Alliance video site, that would be GREAT! Don't hesitate.

  • Bonnie, thanks so much for posting this. I watched all five videos, back to back, and was mesmerized. I venture to say that I am far less familiar with the entire Jung historical "backstory" than most Alliance members, so for me it was quite fresh and new. And yet at the same time, so ancient, mythic and timeless. While the (auditory) narrative/text/script was lovely, I was captivated by the (visual, sensual) old photos, films, and in-person, up close interviews. The conveyance of sense of place and soul was exquisite - historically, geographically, ancestrally.

While I love reading, there is so much imparted through the visual senses by experiences like this that even in my best imaginal moments could never be matched while reading lines on a page.
