Amy Felman M.A. is a Clinical Psychologist and the host of a podcast for early career psychologists called “We All Wear It Differently”. She is based in Melbourne, Australia.
Amy has a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Deakin University, Victoria, and completed her honours degree in psychology at Swinburne University of Technology, Victoria.
Since graduating in 2013 Amy has worked in private practice at the Melbourne DBT Centre, and in public mental health at Dandenong Hospital, Monash Health, in the Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU). The latter involved working with individuals with chronic and unremitting mental health difficulties. Amy also worked at Swinburne University in the National E-Therapy Centre (NetC) as a research assistant, and has a strong interest in E-therapy.
In her earlier life, Amy completed a Bachelor of Arts (Media Studies) at RMIT University where she majored in radio production and politics. She also co-hosted SYN FM’s youth breakfast show Toasted, and has a long standing love for theatre, having both studied acting, and performed and produced various fringe theatre productions.
Amy is a member of the Australian Psychological Societies Early Career Committee (ECAG), and is interested in the intersection between the media and psychology. She hopes through interviews with experienced psychologists from diverse backgrounds, the “We All Wear It Differently” podcast will entertain and inspire her fellow psychologists.
