Hi
I (with the help of a couple of colleagues/friends) launched a skeptical leaning (albeit not-debunking) Serious New Ufology Magazine. (http://www.ufoinstitute.org/)
The first issue was launched on September 1st. So unlike my last idea in February (concerning study into Neumann's place in contemporary Jungian theory) I actually did proceed with this Serious Ufology Magazine. What I am hoping for in issue 2 though is a contribution from an academically-minded Jungian theorist to write about the UFO Phenomenon from a Jungian perspective. In particular I am thinking about Compensation for Unconscious human suffering and the psychology of Conspiracy theories.
Contributors receive issue 2 free of charge sent direct to their email in-box.
Best Wishes
Paul Budding.

Paul, have you read 'A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Skies'? I really can't think of nothing else from Jung to recommend you.
It's hard to put in a few words because Jung's takes on that book make reference to complex concepts like the Self and individuation.
Jung theorizes about the phenomena being a psychological one, just like in ancient times visions of fire in the sky or anything else would be considered a sign of God. Since men today is distant from the purely-sacred vision of Gods and science and technology is its ultimate redeemer, men sees symbols of the Self, of totality (even God, if we stretch that line of thought) through the lens of technology, therefore the UFOs can be considered a techno-numinous symbol that is appearing to men so it can consider there's more in the space (unconscious) that meets the eye. The shapes of most sightings are either a circle (symbol of the Self) or a triangle (symbol of the trinity, forms of manifestation of the divine as observed in several religions).
I'm just throwing some info to motivate you to read the book, I'm still a beginner in no way capable of providing decent theoretical assistance.
I hope it helps, the book is a pleasure read, full of great concepts, but perhaps it will leave a beginner a little lost.
I Posted this on the Paracast UFO Forum. I think that it is appropriate to post here also.
