The Red Book

Along with my wife, I had the pleasure of attending a lecture on the Red Book given by Steven Hoeller. It was a memorial lecture hosted by the Orange County Jung Club at Chapman University. I'd been a previous all day talk on the Red Book provided by John Beebe, Hoeller's was far more informative. The lecture was taped and will be sold by the Gnostic Society. In the meantime, you can go the OCJC site and see/hear Hoeller half-hour lecture from last year. Like a dream, there are so many ways of interpreting this amazing book. I have a copy that sits prominently on a music stand in our garden room!

  • Oh, this must have been extraordinary.

I'm a terrific fan of Hoeller's; to me, he harbors the same strange spirit that seems to animate Jung's work, and I love, too, how remarkably well-and-widely read he is. I have a few (well, more than a few) of his recorded lectures and inevitably discover something startling and new with every listen. I'll look forward to this one becoming available. Thank you!
