FYI--Donna and I had a conversation today about planning our first (hopefully first of many) online telesummits. It was a super productive and interesting meeting.
Next steps will be to determine the format (how many speakers, how many days), timing, topic (should we stick to one general topic per summit?), whether to make it paid or just sell the recordings after, and potential speakers.
We'll contemplate these and probably talk again in a week or two. If anyone is interested in being part of this planning, please let me know and you can join us for the next call.
Meanwhile, ultimately, we'll need someone (or multiple people) who can run the GoToWebinar platform and moderate questions for occasional Alliance webinars or online speakers. If any of you know how or are willing to learn, I'm happy to teach you (its super intuitive and easy) and you may be able to use it for other events/personal use. I'd also like to see each moderator get some compensation if its an event that earns money so it could bring in some small income too....

TELESUMMIT UPDATE as of 3-28-14
Donna spent time describing a very thorough and detailed outline on our board/committee call today for hosting an online tele summit involving multiple speakers in a short period of time on a given topic. This could be a wonderful way to generate new members, serve existing ones, establish credibility for the Alliance, and maybe generate income.
Donna will post the outline here and we’ll plan to meet to kick of the formal planning for that in coming weeks. Everyone will be invited to join that collaboration if the project moves you so I’ll let you know when. If we do one successfully, we could “sell” the recordings afterward and potentially the number we could do is limitless with a new theme each time.
