Beholding the earthrise scene brought to us by the Apollo astronauts, was a life changing event for me. We finally got to "see" ourselves from a distance-something similar to when we are at an impasse with a problem, we take a step back to view it from a different perspective or to reframe the issue or question or sit on the solution process waiting for a renewed insight. Can we not see that there is more to life on this planet than just our flat piece of real estate and our pursuit of acquiring things made from Mother Earth's bounty? Campbell was and is correct in his statement about there being no country boundaries visible from space; for these "boundaries" represent human political divisions. We are all in this ship on the cosmic ocean and it is not just a matter of survival on this planet, but also one of thriving together on this planet. We, the story tellers, the myth researchers and recorders, members of this race of humans, hopefully will heed the call to create community in which we can grow and share humanity's expressions of life. My best to you all and I look forward to working with you some day soon in this endeavor!
