thoughts on week #5 reading

Beholding the earthrise scene brought to us by the Apollo astronauts, was a life changing event for me.  We finally got to "see" ourselves  from a distance-something similar to when we are at an impasse with a problem, we take a step back to view it from a different perspective or to reframe the issue or question or sit on the solution process waiting for a renewed insight.  Can we not see that there is more to life on this planet than just our flat piece of real estate and our pursuit of …
