I have just published Wisdom's Way - The Christian I Ching

This book is a reinterpretation of the I Ching from a mystical Christian perspective. In this book I discuss at length Jung's lifelong fascination with the I Ching and how the I Ching fits into contemporary Christian understandings of God, spiritual direction, and discernment.

I take a different approach to interpreting the I Ching. Rather than attempt to explain the traditional Chinese aphorisms that are used to illustrate the 64 archetypes, I use readings from The Bible interpreted from a mystical perspective.

This book brings together several threads of my life. As a Christian, I am a Benedictine Oblate affiliated with the World Community for Christian Meditation and a spiritual director commissioned by the Episcopal Church. However I also have a 40 year relationship with the I Ching and have studied Jung's work with this amazing book of Wisdom.

I think the I Ching has a great deal to offer Depth Psychology, and I hope this book moves this dialogue forward.

Good morning Roger - I purchased your book, read and love the way you have blended the soulful/prayerful aspects of both perspectives. For me, your presentation of the 64 ancient Archetypes with readings from the Bible and mystical interpretation is wise providing practical guidelines [for use with either stalks or stones] is greatly appreciated.

Historically, I relate, utilize depth - 5 levels of conversation, altered states, thematic and content analysis along with discernment [plus many other tools clinically found to be effective] in the stabilization, integration and towards healing journeys with survivors of traumatic lifetime experiences [TLE].
