Also, I haven't picked up this book which also covers Buryat shamanism in a couple of years now, but it had a strong influence on me when I first read it: Sarangerel. (2001). Chosen by the spirits: Following your shamanic calling. Rochester, VT: Destiny Books.
The author's name is just one name: Sarangerel. If you 're interested in that particular culture, I encourage you to check it out.
