Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
I intend to do my Masters in depth psychology. I have always been drawn to matters of the soul and spirit, and have had experiences with it since childhood. In a world dominated by the rational (I studied law in my undergraduate studies!), I sought out the feeling, the unconscious, the dream. When I stumbled upon Jung when I decided to study my passion (what I then thought of was Psychology), I was astounded by the breadth and depth of his works. Every sentence seemed to speak out to me and assure me that I was on a path that others also tread! This is what brought me to depth psychology. I intend to pursue it seriously now. I am also deeply fascinated by the psychology of religious rituals (in India, this is big), understanding inspiration, dream interpretation and astrology.
Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?
On facebook and twitter.
I am a member of the The Jung Centre India library in Bangalore
