I have a clinical Master's in Arts Therapy & Special Ed (1989) from Pratt Institute (which is depth psych based). I have a PhD in in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in the social psychology of "Ethical & Creative Leadership"from Union Institute & University. My dissertation was the situated scholar-practitioner "arts liberatory practice" through writing a novel to engage in "dialogical imagination" to contribute to the discourse in leadership development.The initiating problem for that study is based on the tendency for humans / culture to imagine how things should be from what they've experienced. The exploration was to see if helping readers of fiction to imagine leadership differently could change the leadership paradigm. This was part one of future studies.

Are you a licensed or clinical therapist?

I have been licensed as an art therapist but moved away from "therapy" to "empowerment arts" in community in which I used mythopoetic modalities to practice nonviolent communication and power-sharing leadership.

Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?

I am a little isolated in my "work" in that, though I can share with others, it is usually continual explanation of what I am doing. I'd like to learn from others and have more reciprocal sharing.
