  • Welcome Jonathan,

Glad you found and decided to join the Alliance. Also happy to see you bringing together depth psychological principles and political philosophy. So much goes on unconsciously in the meeting of these two disciplines "in the street" that a conscious illumination will be most refreshing and essential (if I may say so) to any attempt to maintain a democratic approach to national decision-making. (WOW, where did THAT come from??;) ) I guess you have scratched a complex of mine!

I am a PhD student at PGI so I'd be glad to give you my take on the program.

Again, welcome to the Alliance. I look forward to your posts.

  • Hi Jonathan. Welcome to the online Depth community. So glad you're considering Pacifica--I am just starting the dissertation for the Depth program and can't recommend it enough. Meanwhile, I'm glad you're here. Once you have a chance to explore the site a bit, I think you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all fascinated by the field of depth psychology. Our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplary knowledge and experience here to be shared. Also, there are lots of Pacifica students, faculty, and alumni here who seem to gravitate to the site

On that note, I hope you're finding opportunities to engage as you browse the vast content and interact with others. You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, you can read all the comments that have gone on so far and get a feel for the story--or Feb. 1 will bring a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Erel Shalit as well as a special online study group on Astrology.

In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, please use the following link-- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site --and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
