Welcome Joyce,
Glad you joined the Alliance and will be attending the meeting in SF. The Alliance is steadily growing and broadening and, I hope, deepening a greater understanding of Jung's work and those who have followed his lead, even to take other paths. I look forward to your posts.

Hi Joyce. Welcome to the Alliance. I can't tell you how glad I am you've found us. I placed that card for the Alliance personally at the David Abram event--and it must have been for you!
Once you have a chance to explore the online community a bit, I think you'll find a dynamic group of likeminded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. Some simple ideas to get your feet wet are to introduce yourself in the forum; asking a question, or responding to someone else's post; or sharing a link to an article or web site you like.
You may want to consider joining the online book club if you haven’t already (so many have joined the past day or two I haven't managed to keep track!)—There's a new author each month, and you can jump in at anytime and participate at whatever level you wish. Even if you don't have the book for this month, you can order it from Assisi Institute now and have it within a couple of days.
The Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, so you can read all the comments that have gone on so far (including past authors in January and February!) and get a feel for what's happening. As you may know, in March, we are featuring a wonderful new book from Jungian Analyst Dr. Michael Conforti, a specialist in archetypes and new sciences, "Field, Form, And Fate: Patterns in Mind, Nature, and Psyche."
Also, so thrilled you're planning to attend the local chapter meetup and speaker evening for the Alliance on March 23. It should be a great opportunity to meet other Alliance members and likeminded people--and our speaker on Jung, Crop Circles, and the Archetypal Feminine is truly fascinating! You've probably seen this page already, but there are more details here: http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=l548rqeab&... --and do please pass the word along if you will. Thanks so much!
It looks like you're doing just fine, but in case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link--and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community~Bonnie Bright, Founder
