Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?
I like the idea of a book club that has this informal drop in structure. I'm entering Jungian training and may well be overwhelmed but would like to know what others are reading and share what I am excited about.

Hi Kathleen. Greetings, and welcome to the online depth psychology community. It's great to have you here.
As you may know, we currently have nearly 1500 members here from all over the world. I hope as you explore the community a bit you find a dynamic group of like-minded people who are all deeply drawn by the field of depth psychology. While there are many Jungian analysts and clinical psychologists here, our members come from many walks of life--artists, writers, doctors, healing professionals, counselors, students, business people, etc--so there is much cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience here to be shared.
On that note, there are many opportunities to engage as you browse the site. When you're ready to jump in, please feel free to post a topic for discussion in the forum, respond to someone else's post, or share a link to an article or web site you like.
It sounds like you're well aware of the online book club: July has brought us “Marked by Fire: Stories of the Jungian Way” from Editors/Jungian Analysts Patricia Damery and Naomi Ruth Lowinsky and in August, we'll see Deep Blues: Human Soundscapes for the Archetypal Journey about Blue...--which may have some items of interest for you. Since the Book Club is all done via writing in an open forum, you can participate at your own level and schedule. The good news is all the discussions are archived so you can also look back at other months.
Finally, I see you're in proximity to the Bay Area (though Healdsburg is a bit of a drive). If you're interested, local members of the Alliance are meeting both this Saturday, July 28, and again on August 18 for 2 different but interesting meetup/speaker events. You can learn more here if you're interested.
In case you need detailed help getting started and navigating the site, you can use the following link---- http://www.depthpsychologyalliance.com/page/navigating-the-site----and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all! I look forward to seeing you around the community. ~Bonnie Bright, Founder
