Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?

While working with a spiritual director who had a D.Min. degree in Jungian Spirituality I was healed by a dream. Have been working on my dreams since 1995 and studying Carl Jung's work.I would like more clarity on how to live out Jung's concepts. Would like more understanding about the animus in my feminine life. Meeting others with similar interests is important as I am confined at home due to illness and want to enrich my solitude. I am a Christian and taught religious studies at UNR for a few years. When I am well enough I give spiritual direction to others seeking to grow in their faith and personal lives. I try to get them to trry working on their dreams but there is great resistance. My own spiritual practice is informed by the discalced Carmelite tradition of St. Theresa of Avila and John of the Cross. I value other religious traditions, both Eastern and Western. Personally I lost my husband a year and a half ago and have had three surgeries for skin cancer including a melanoma in addition to living with CFS/ME. So I am in the crucible of transformation and moving to lament and reinvent my life with the help from family, friends, counselors, doctors and God. My spiritual journey is filled with encounters with Christ and some would call me a mystic. I've listened to a few of the videos and find myself balanced within when in a great inner confict. My cutting edge is digesting the fact of my mortality having had a mystical experience that seared my inner self with the truth of my human life ending.
