Please share a little about yourself by way of introduction. What draws you to Depth Psychology and what are you looking for from this community?

After a vision quest in 1976 and subsequent 2-semester experimental program based in Mendocino, California through Sonoma State College in 1976 on "Psychoecology", I discovered Jung. Dreamwork, symbol, myth, and art in context of wilderness was the core of the program. I went on to get a Masters in Counseling Psychology with a Pupil Personnel Credential and worked in the K-6 public school system as a guidance counselor and left Jung and Depth Psychology behind. I then cared for both of my parents until their respective deaths, immersed myself in Holotropic Breathwork for a while, and added Gerontology to my repertoire of life skills. Through perusing The Red Book with a 96-year old woman who I currently care for here in Arcata, California (where I now live) my enthusiasm for Jung and Depth Psychology has been rekindled. She went through Freudian psychoanalysis in the 50's and Jungian psychotherapy in the 80's. She is phenomenal. She is a treasure. Very frail though, under Hospice care. Through following the online trail of Judith Harris and Jung and Yoga, I found the Alliance. I am looking for guidance and support in my exploration and revival of my interest in all things Jung, particularly Jung at the intersection of body and breath.

Do you belong to any other online Psychology-related communities or orgs? If so, which?

No, you're my first.

Greetings, Uriela, and welcome to the Depth Psychology Alliance community.

It sounds like your interests and experiences are very aligned with many of us here. I hope you are finding lots of resources here in many forms that call to you, including some free webinars,  and some longer courses about to begin on Typologies, Applied Jungian Psychology, Shadow Work, and a Dream Group.

Also, the Earth, Climate, Dreams symposium just began a week ago and you can easily catch up with the recordings if that is a topic that speaks to you and you haven't registered yet.

If you need more orientation, do try the Welcome Center (under the HOME tab) in case its of help.

    Enjoy the site.
