Don Yates and RB

This photo was taken several years ago at the home of my dear friend, mentor and business colleague, Donald Yates. Don, a former professor at Michigan State University (my alma mater), is the scholar who discovered Jorge Luis Borges, the great Argentine writer, and first brought him to America after translating Borges into English. Don's translations comprised the first Borges work published in English, in the book Labyrinths. Don recently won a Guggenheim Award to write his memoirs of the great Argentine writer, whom I encountered frequently on the campus of MSU.
