Calling those who live east of the Mississippi and south of the Mason-Dixon. I love California, Chicago, New York and New England, but need to connect with others in the South who are interested in exploring Jungian/Archetypal theories and practice.

  • Ed, I work on Tuesday nights with clients, so couldn't call in till later.  Is that okay, or can you let me know the outcomes of the call?  Thanks!!! Marla
  • Ed: You are brilliant. I love your vision of the conference call. We are all so blessed to have you taking leadership on this.

I will be at Pacifica and may not be able to get on due to schedule. Will do what I can. Good luck, and I can't wait to hear how it goes.

  • An email was just sent to all the members as of this moment about the conference call Tuesday night. If you read this and have not received the email by tomorrow morning, please email me so I can get the information to you directly.

Have a love filled Valentine's Day.

  • Lilian (and others),

I'll send out the information about the numbers to use, etc, and some early thoughts on Sunday. In the post below (Feb. 1st) the numbers are presented but I think I sent out "thoughts" throuh a separate email, so I'll combine these in one email and copy that here in the group for any late arrivals to the group.

Wish I could participate in the Dream Patterning. Email us your thoughts after it is over, if you can.

  • Hello to Ed. I see that there is a conference call on Tuesday Feb 15th. I think that is for anyone from the Jung in the South group to gather and discuss the idea of a conference on Jung here in the south. Is that correct? Is there anything else I should know or read about what you have already discussed regarding a conference.
    In peace,
    Lilan
P.S. I also just signed up for the Dream Patterning call tonight.
  • Thanks Adele,

Looks good. I'm checking my calendar.

If there is some time to meet, just email me.

  • Linda,

Home girl!!!! Where do you live? I wonder if we are neighbors??

  • Adele,

If you are going to be in Louisville, I would love to meet you and your husband. I also need to check on the Matthew Fox presence. Do you have a webpage?

  • Is anyone else planning to attend the Matthew Fox workshop in Louisville KY on Feb 18-19?  He was a speaker at Journey Into Wholeness several years ago and was wonderful.  My husband, Dan, and I are going.  Matthew might not define himself as a "Jungian" but does incorporate a good bit of depth psychology in his teachings and writings.

Jung and the Arts

This will be the focus of the first Jung in the South Conference and except for a few folks I know who would like to present, this is as far as it has gotten. I would like to make this planning a group endeavor. Is anyone connected with a college or university or art institute (housing and board made easier) that might be interested in hosting the event? I imagine during the summer if an academic setting.  If you do plan to check with organizations in your area, please let me know so I don't…

Suggestions on Readings for a Directed Study Proposal.

Since my graduate program doesn't offer any Jungian courses regularly, I'm getting ready to draft a proposal for an independent study course that focuses specifically on Jung.  There's a couple of faculty members that have an interest in Jung that may agree to be the overseer and mentor for me on this.  I figured if I came up with a proposed course of study that it would only help my chances of getting one to agree, but I'm having a very hard time narrowing down what the proposed readings for…
