The Spiritual Mandates of an Inspired Life
23 years and running--A remarkable 6-day Conference in Assisi, Italy, focused on community, contemplation, and stimulating conversation around Jung, the Arts, and the New Sciences. Join us!

Jung often spoke of the meaning of life as involving an experience of the numinous. So, too, did Rabbi Heschel speak of the beckoning of the ineffable. Perhaps it is in the eyes of a child or an elder that we catch a glimpse of spirit, and too, those moments when we feel the stirrings of something so grand, so beautiful as we watch dancers whose every movement captures both expertise and spirit. It is those moments, when we are so taken by the presence of the numinous, in both its beauty and its terror, that our life beings to change.
This conference brings together international leaders and pioneers in the fields of Jungian Psychology, the arts, science and religion, to discuss what it is about spirit that Jung, Heschel and others have spoken about since time immemorial-- and for us to see as an essence, perhaps simply as the contours of some presence moving behind a gossamer veil, calling to us.
This conference will focus on what it means to live a life in accord to the callings of Self, to challenges of translating these gifts into our personal life and the mandates, moral and spiritual responsibilities that come with an encounter with the numinous and The Self.
In addition to the plenary talks, there will be an original presentation by the dance Company, Accendo, under the direction of Loralee Conforti. All in attendance at last years Assisi Conference can attest to the power of this dance company to actually invite the sacred.
We will also have leaders in the field of Authentic Movement including Eleni Levedi, originally from Greece and Antonella Adorisio, from Italy, offering morning sessions in addition to special sessions with Bonnie Bright, Founder of the Depth Psych Alliance and Kayleen Asbo, cultural historian and faculty member of Sonoma State University, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes.
Assisi, Italy, which for more than 23 years has been the site of our annual conference, is a medieval city whose essence speaks to the relationship to spirit. Within this temenous we will enjoy the best of local Umbrian cuisine, local wines, and be part of a program that has emerged as an international focal point for the study of matter and spirit. We truly hope that you will be joining us this year in Assisi, Italy.
