David Abram, cultural ecologist and “philosopher gone wild,” is the author of
Becoming Animal: An Earthly Cosmology and The Spell of the Sensuous: Perception and Language in a More-Than-Human World, both from Pantheon Books. Co-founder of theAlliance for Wild Ethics (AWE), David is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Lannan Literary Award for Nonfiction; in 2014 he will hold the international Arne Naess Chair in Global Justice and the Environment in Oslo, Norway.
