Dr. Michael Conforti, Founder and Director of the Assisi Institute and internationally recognized author and lecturer, will be speaking from his forthcoming book: Hidden Presence. In a clinical seminar and two separate lectures, Dr. Conforti will take an inter-disciplinary look at the unconscious patterns which influence our lives, like hidden riptides, unseen yet powerfully directing us on a navigational course which we see repeated over and over. Fri., June 7th, 1:00 - 3:00 pm Archetypal Perspectives in Clinical Practice Approaching our work as clinicians from an archetypal perspective, allows us to see what the ancients knew about the meaning of life, symbols and destiny. An understanding of the workings of archetypes and how these are unconsciously manifest, unlocks the meaning of these invisible patterns which influence the dynamics even within a clinical setting. Friday, June 7th, 7:00 PM Breaking the Spell: Patterns of Forgiveness as Related to the Complex In this lecture, Dr. Conforti will discuss those experiences, states, and fields from which we need and seek redemption, the breaking of the spell, and how eternal wisdom and a conscious awareness of the archetypes at work in our lives helps us to work with these dynamics. In addition, he will be discussing the power of fields as autonomous entities within the world of psyche, and how these contents affect both personal and collective behavior. Saturday, June 8th, 10:00 am - 3:30 pm Deities of Dust: In Homage to a Greater Wisdom Discovered in Dreams In this lecture, Dr. Conforti will discuss the presence of the objective psyche in dreams. Jungian psychology was the first to examine dreams, the personal and collective unconscious, and our rich unconscious life as vehicles of a greater wisdom. The writings of C.G. Jung, Marie-Louise von Franz, and other early Jungians will be explored to capture in words and images what they experienced within the inner world. |
